Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-20
Scope
This policy covers the one-time $99 Audit plan. The $129 Continuation annual subscription is not covered here: you can cancel it at any time from /settings/billing to stop future renewals, but already-paid subscription periods are not pro-rated refunded.
Eligibility
You are eligible for a full refund of the $99 Audit when all five of the following are true. These are the exact conditions our automated check applies, word-for-word with the code:
- Your current plan type is
one_time(the $99 Audit). The annual Continuation subscription is not refundable through this flow. - You are within 30 days of purchase. After 30 days the refund window has closed.
- You have marked at least 20 submissions as submitted. This is the minimum effort the Audit needs to have a meaningful sample to verify.
- Fewer than 50% of those marked-submitted entries went live. If 50% or more went live, the Audit delivered what it promised — we will not refund a successful outcome.
- Your account has no prior refund on record, and the original payment is still refundable in Stripe.
How to request
A few clicks, no support ticket, no retention upsell, no human gatekeeping:
- Sign in to your account.
- Open /settings/billing and press Request Refund.
- Confirm in the dialog that appears.
The automated check evaluates the eligibility conditions above. If you qualify, the refund is issued immediately via Stripe — no human review.
What happens after a refund
Stripe automatically refunds the full $99 to the original payment method. Card refunds typically reach your statement in 5–10 business days, depending on your issuing bank. Your account plan reverts to the free tier; your submission history is retained and remains exportable so you can keep using the free product or move the data elsewhere.
Why these conditions
The Audit's promise is simple: we verify which of your submissions actually went live and whether the resulting backlink is dofollow. That promise needs some submissions to verify (hence the minimum of 20) and enough timefor third-party directories to process them (hence the 30-day window). If 50% or more of your submissions went live within that window, the Audit delivered what it was paid for, so no refund applies. If fewer than half went live despite a meaningful effort, we did not deliver — and you get your money back, automatically. This is the "verified, not promised" principle written as a commercial guarantee.
Edge cases
If the automatic check says you do not qualify but you believe there is an error — for example a Stripe processing edge case or a submission that was marked live in error — email hi@submitaitool.net with your account email and the issue. We will investigate. See also our contact page.
