Privacy Policy

Overview

This page describes what data SubmitAITool collects when you use the service at submitaitool.net, the third-party subprocessors that handle it on our behalf, and how you can ask us to delete it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run your account and verify your directory submissions. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

What we collect

  • Your email address, when you sign in via the magic-link flow. Email is the primary identifier for your account.
  • Product metadata you enter when registering a tool to track — the tool name, website URL, description, and tags. This is content you author and knowingly submit.
  • Submission tracking metadata — for each directory you mark as submitted, we store the timestamp, current status (pending / live / dofollow / indexed), and the results of each re-verification check. This is the core of what the product does for you.
  • Standard GA4 analytics cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) and the IP address as processed by Google's regional handling, when the NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_MEASUREMENT_ID environment variable is configured for the deployment. If it is not configured, no analytics script is loaded.
  • Payment data is handled directly by Stripe. We never see, store, or transmit your card number or CVV. Stripe returns us only a payment intent ID and the paid amount.

What we don't collect or do

  • We do not sell, rent, or license your data to third parties.
  • We do not load advertising pixels or retargeting trackers (Meta / Google Ads / TikTok / LinkedIn / etc.).
  • We do not perform browser or device fingerprinting.
  • We do not ask for permission-sensitive data (location, camera, microphone, contacts).

Subprocessors

The following third parties process data on our behalf. They are bound by their own privacy commitments; we list them so you know exactly where your data lives.

  • Neon — managed Postgres hosting (account + submissions database).
  • Vercel — web hosting and request routing.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (magic-link sign-in, weekly digests, ops alerts).
  • Stripe — payment processing for the Audit and Continuation plans.
  • Cloudflare — DNS and inbound email routing for the submitaitool.net domain.
  • Google Analytics — traffic analytics, when enabled by deployment configuration.

Data retention and deletion

You can ask us to delete your account and associated submission data at any time by emailing hi@submitaitool.net from the address tied to your account. We aim to action deletion requests within a few business days. Payment, refund, and tax records are retained as required by Stripe and applicable tax regulations — typically several years — even after account deletion.

EU / UK data subject rights

If you are in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction granting equivalent rights, you may request access to your data, rectification of inaccuracies, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, or objection to processing. Exercise these rights by emailing hi@submitaitool.net. We will reply within a reasonable timeframe. As a known limitation: we currently do not show a cookie consent banner. If GA4 cookies as described above are not acceptable to you, do not use the service in a region where consent is legally required, or contact us before signing up.

Children

SubmitAITool is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Data is transmitted over TLS in transit, and database records are stored at-rest with the default encryption provided by Neon. We do not currently hold SOC 2, ISO 27001, or any equivalent third-party security certification, and we do not provide end-to-end encryption — those would be claims we cannot back up today.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the service after a change indicates acceptance.
